Which image formats can I upload and download?

Upload still JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF images. Preserve the source format or convert to AVIF, JPEG XL (JXL), WebP, JPEG and PNG. JXL downloads require a compatible viewer. Animated images are rejected instead of silently losing frames.

Can I compress several images at once?

Yes. Add up to 20 images per batch, no larger than 350 MB each and 350 MB combined, without a fixed pixel or megapixel upload cap (browser memory and codec limits apply). Processing runs serially in a browser worker. Total generated outputs are limited to 100 MB. Download individual files or all completed outputs as a ZIP.

Will compression change the quality or dimensions?

Dimensions stay the same unless you choose a maximum edge; small images are never enlarged. PNG uses lossless encoding. AVIF, JXL, WebP and JPEG use the selected quality and may lose detail. Compare fine text and gradients before downloading. A same-format output that is larger is replaced by the smaller original when dimensions are unchanged.

What happens to transparency and image metadata?

PNG, WebP, AVIF and JXL outputs preserve transparency. JPEG uses a white background. Re-encoding omits source EXIF and other metadata and normalizes rendered colors. A kept original retains its original metadata. Compare your actual result before sharing.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No image bytes are sent to an optimization server. Image decoding, encoding, previews and ZIP creation run in your browser. Account access checks and any consented site measurement are separate from image processing.

How much does Image Optimizer cost?

It uses the same 30-minute trial as the other tooldu.com tools, without registration. For continuous access, sign in and choose a paid access pass. India: ₹120 for 4 hours, ₹220 for 24 hours or ₹350 for 21 days. Other countries: US$3 for 24 hours or US$4.12 for 21 days. Every pass includes all tools, with their published limits, and does not renew automatically. Additional tax charges may be added in the future. Any applicable tax and the final total will be shown before payment. No additional tax is added to the prices currently shown. Availability depends on live merchant setup. Optional advertising consent does not grant paid access. Registered accounts can start 30 continuous minutes of all-tools access every 3 hours, measured from the previous start. Idle time counts; unused minutes do not roll over. Paid passes provide continuous access.
